What is the areola?

Colored ring on the nipple is called the areola. The Colour and size of areola rings are different in every woman. Nipple medical pigmentation is a special technique that can be applied to women who lose their nipples. Nipple medical pigmentation is applied with local anesthesia and nipple and rings are draw and colored to have a nipple look. Patients should have certain allergy tests before this application and if there is no problem, nipple medical pigmentation can be applied.

According to global cancer statistics, breast cancer is the most common cancer type with 30%. Most of women lose either one or both breasts and experience psychologic problems. With advanced technology, breast texture can be shaped with temporary or permanent silicone implants.

How can areola pigmentation applied?

Before nipple pigmentation, location for nipple and rings are selected. After measuring the nipple, pigment is selected. Pigments that are used in nipple pigmentation are specially produced to eliminate risk of allergic reaction. Sterile and single use needle is selected for application. After all these steps, local anaesthesia is applied to  application area and colouring step is initiated. Areola pigmentation is applied in single session and this session takes 30-60 minutes. This application is permanent for 2-5 years depending on cell regeneration speed. Nipple pigmentation is a permanent make-up application that requires special training.

Nipple scar tissue camouflage

This same application can be applied to hide scar tissue and this method is highly effective. Scars of surgical operations can be hidden with pigmentation. Scar camouflage can be applied 6 months after the surgery and with the permission of the doctor.
